Annual
travel insurance grows in popularity Recent
research by Datamonitor shows that an increasing number of Brits are
taking out Annual Travel Insurance. Britons seem to be taking more
flights than in any previous year and it seems that concerns about the
environment are not such a big priority.
Indeed, this trend for increased travel has seen an overall growth in
the travel insurance market of 1.4%. The report's author Andrew Haslip
commented: "The UK travel insurance market continues to benefit
from the desire of the British public to travel abroad."
The elevated number of travellers fall into many categories, however
many are travelling to see friends and family abroad and others are just
not content with one break in a year. Older research shows that a lot of
us will take at least 2 trips in a year with a select 11% group stating
they will make 5 or more trips in a year.
Considering we are becoming a country full of jetsetters it is
unsurprising that annual travel insurance is becoming popular. Even if
you only take a couple of trips annual travel insurance may prove a
better deal.
Most annual travel insurance deals will allow you to take as many trips
as you like in a year. The advantages of annual cover go beyond the
merely financial however convenience is a big factor - get one policy
for the whole year and its one less thing to think about every time you
leave the country.
The table below shows a comparison between some of the top insurance
providers. Prior to signing up to any policy you should check that the
price and cover are suitable for your need. The table below is only
provided as an example of prices.
