What's it really like ? Transfer time: Approx 35 minutes Location: 'San An' - the dance capital of Europe, where every night is a bonkers Saturday night - a large, living, free-loving, lager-land legend. Most mainstream holiday brochures describe this resort as 'lively' ... the understatement of the travel industry. San Antonio town is a mad mix of mayhem especially during those hot July and August nights. Thick with bars and clubs for 'up for it' party action - young singles of all nationalities come here for one mother of a holiday. The bay area is less claustrophobic and offers a place for even the most die-hard revelers to sober up and escape the action. Beaches: The town itself has a postage stamp-size beach with imported sand. If you're desperate to combine night life with a beach holiday choose the San Antonio Bay area. Boat trips take day trippers to better beaches along the coast. Days Out: Watersports, booze-cruises and trips to prettier parts nearby. The water park across the other side of the island is a megga Mecca. San Antonio is shop-tastic for souvenirs and groceries. Night Clubs and What They're Famous For: Prvilege - The biggest nightclub with room (just about) for 10 thousand party people. Eden - Two throbbin' rooms Pacha - One of the oldest clubs on the island and still rockin' Space - In Playa d'En Bossa. Two great rooms and loads of 'space'. Pin Up - Good for themed weeks. DC10 - Famous for its morning sessions. El Divino - For the rich and famous. Drinks costa mucho Euro. Es Paradis - Water parties galore. For a bit of calm-before-the-storm check out the famous sunsets along the seafront accompanied by atmospheric music from the bars. Ibiza Town is worth a look especially for the fancy dress fashion parades on Friday and Saturday nights. Restaurants around San An are mostly fast and furious. Bucket and Spade Brigade: Ibiza has many other resorts which are probably more suitable for those too young to party. |
