Cala Llonga

What's it really like ?

Transfer time: Approx 45 minutes

Location:

Nestling at the foot of densely wooded hills, hugging a wide sandy bay - Cala Llonga remains a very attractive resort built with families in mind.

The almost forest-like backdrop creeps right down to the coast, with the effect of softening the low-rise developments.

The perfect place for undemanding families and mature-minded couples offering low-key attractions with a wider selection on the doorstep.

May not be suitable for the less mobile due to the hilly location.

Beaches:

A large picturesque sweep of fine sand enclosed within the semi-natural surroundings of the bay. Safe, shallow waters and clean beach.

Days Out:

Watersports and some landsports available, including golf 15 minutes away. Tourist boats stop here for trips along the coast.

Shopping is adequate for basic holiday needs although shop-a-holics may want to plan a day out to Ibiza Town or Santa Eulalia for a wider choice.

Further afield is 'Club Fiestaland' with it's water park and sporting facilities, and if you like the tranquility of Cala Llonga arrange a boat trip to unspoilt Formentera where you practically need to walk about on tip-toe.

Nights Out:

Relaxing evenings strolling among the cafè bars, some offer 'live' music of the low-key variety. Eating out is a limited experience and just enough variety to last a fortnight.

Most menus offer touristy favourites with a few British-owned restaurants boasting a taste of home! Kids are well catered for.

Bucket and Spade Brigade:

Should be a hit with kids who like nothing more than a beach holiday along with all the attractions of the waterpark just within 'moaning' distance.
